Two Nigerians linked to the homophobic attack on JussieSmollett - Police

One of the two men investigators have questioned as persons of interest in the alleged attack on actor Jussie Smollett, has also appeared on the show "Empire," Chicago Police Spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, reveals.

In a tweet on Thursday, Guglielmi said "the people of interest are alleged to be in the area where a crime was reported. They are not considered suspects at this time."

The men are Nigerian brothers and were questioned by police after flying into O'Hare airport from Nigeria on Wednesday evening, Guglielmi said. Police said they searched the men's apartment two nights ago.

Smollett, one of the stars of "Empire," told authorities he was attacked early January 29 by two men who yelled "racial and homophobic slurs." .

Smollett alleged that one attacker put a rope around his neck and poured an unknown chemical substance on him before running away. Police previously released surveillance images of two people they said were wanted for questioning.

Paedophile who abused 276 children in one year, jailed for life.

A Colombian man has been jailed for 60 years after he admitted abusing nearly 300 children.

A court in the city of Barranquilla heard how Latorre committed the crimes from 2007 to 2008.

Juan Carlos Sánchez Latorre, in his late 30s, used the alias ‘Big Bad Wolf’ to share sickening images and videos of his abuse online. He was extradited to Colombia following his arrest in Maracaibo, Venezuela in September 2018.

Prosecutors at his trial, said Latorre approached his victims online before meeting them at shopping centres, offering them money in exchange for sexual contact.

Victims who refused, were often attacked by the convict. Neighbours of Latorre said they never once suspected that he could be a dangerous paedophile.
