On her support for Veterans, she explained that "I discovered that many of the generational veteran in my industry are cut off from the activities of acting on our TV screens and are down with one form of health, emotional and economic issues or another, but without any existing concrete social or government platform(s) to help come in to intervene or address this situation.We can not continue to watch some of our aged veterans live in pains. We must not continue to abandon them to their fates. They need all of us now for support and care to live happily again." .

Nollywood has lost another actor to the cold hands of death.

36-year-old Alkali Matt reportedly passed away while shooting on a movie set on Tuesday, March 24.

Nollywood actor, Matt Alkali has died from complications resulting from a blood clotting condition. 

It sad to announce that the Nollywood industry suffers yet another loss with the shocking death of Matt Alkali, a fast rising popularly known as Dareng on popular Africa Magic TV series, 'Halita'. Akali Matt Aka Dareng of African Magic Series, Halita, has been reportedly to have died. He was rumoured to have died on set while filming another movie.

He died on 24th of March 2020 at a filming set of a epic movie in a village near Keffi.

However a facebook user "Dimbo Atiya" announced his shocking and sad Demise.

Wale Legend is a Nollywood Actor, Journalist, Script Writer, and Talent Manager. Legend is from Abeokuta South, in Ogun state, Nigeria. He is based in Lagos, Ikeja precisely.

 He started his career in the Entertainment Industry far back as 2007 as a Rapper/Singer, around Agege/Abule-Egba area of Lagos State. In 2010, he did a Mix Tap to Lagos Party by Banky W, titled "Lagos Effizy". 

The song got airplay in many Radio Stations that he never paid for the promotion of the song. This exposed him to limelight and he started gaining recognition in the Music/Entertainment Industry. In 2011, he got an admission into the Fed. Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, where he bagged a Diploma in Office Technology and Management. He later proceeds to the University of Lagos (UNI LAG) for a degree in public administration.

In 2014, he changed the face of his career in the Entertainment Industry, by launching into Nollywood. He was doing extras and waka pass in home videos, and a few TV Soap Series. In 2015, the story of his career changed, and the Table turned around for him, as he hit his screen recognition by his role of Mr. Idowu (the cruel Teacher) in the Popular TV Series "Mama & Me", a Segun Oseni Production. Popular Yoruba Comic Actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwehas finally reacted to rumors/several reports that claimed he had died.

The actor who is currently receiving treatments in the United States made a short video of himself debunking the viral rumor.

He spoke in his native language Yoruba, the translation reads;

My people, both the young ones and the elderly ones in Nigeria. I am currently in America where I am receiving treatments.. and they are treating me well. There is nothing wrong with me.

Whoever that wishes me death will die before me. Me as a person, I won’t die, but live long.

Mr Latin Debunk Fake Rumour on Babasuwe Death

 Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, is alive, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as ‘Mr Latin, has said.






Ara News reports that Mr Latin, who is the president of the Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), made this known in a short video clip on Tuesday afternoon.

Baba Suwe finally Fly out of Nigeria to United States for Proper Medical Treatment

The Nollywood Actor and a comedian Baba Suwe has finally traveled out of Nigeria for the United States, for his medical treatments.
Ara news  understands that the actor’s trip to united state  comes after some funds were raised on his behalf to treat him chronic diabetes.



A friend to the actor and supposed spokesman, Yomi Fabiyi announced that Baba Suwe traveled abroad for medical treatment on Saturday, April 20.

Yomi Fabiyi disclosed that he was accompanied by his son, Sola Omidina and went ahead to thank everyone that came to the aid of the actor when news of his ill health broke out.

In his post, Yomi Fabiyi wrote; “Happy Easter to you all. Of course, before this season of love, enormous and rare love is being shown to the veteran actor and comedian Alh. Babatunde Omidina. With your help and love, Baba Suwe traveled out in company of his son Sola Omidina to the United States of America yester-night 20th April, 2019 to complete his medical treatment.

I must add that the Federal Ministry of Health through the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH) were able to stabilize him in order to make the long haul with little or no acute discomfort.

On behalf of Baba Suwe’s family, his colleagues, friends, TAMPAN movie association worldwide, I humbly register an undiluted appreciation to each and everyone for this wonderful show of love. Thank you once again to our dear mother, Rev. Mrs Esther Abimbola Ajayi for footing the air tickets.
Depending on the treatment and prospective out-patient appointments, Baba Suwe should be return to the screen hale and hearty before the last quarter of the year. He will be treated in a hospital in Rhode Island, USA.

Bisket, a member of Theatre and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), passed away during the weekend barely 10 days after welcoming her new baby.

The death of Bisket, the CEO of Bisket Movie Concept, was confirmed to the media on Tuesday by fellow Yoruba actress, Omolola Olumide.

The late actress and producer was a member of the Lagos Island branch of TAMPAN.

Uche Jombo Condemn Governors

Nollywood actress Uche Jombo Rodriguez released a message on social media, condemning how former governors use the senate as their retirement plan.

It is no longer news that most serving governors in Nigeria, and African leaders as a whole, when they are no longer in office, they find their way into another political position as a way of securing the bag.

Some of them until they are forcefully removed through the help of the military, are even ready to stay till a 100 years and die in office. Like in the case of former Zimbabwe president – Robert Mugabe and many others.


Getting forms to apply for these positions, run into millions of Naira that only the politicians looting the country’s funds can provide, because an average Nigerian youth cannot afford such, thereby making the wealth circulate around them and their families as if it is a monarchical system of government.

Thank God we now have the not too young to run bill signed into law, where youths can actively participate in electoral processes under various parties rather than make the country look like a two party system of government as opposed to the multi party system in the constitution.



The governor of Oyo state- Abiola Ajimobi, under the APC contested for the senatorial seat and lost to PDP’s Kola Balogun in Saturday’s election. Former governor of Lagos state, Babajide Fashola, currently the Federal Minister of Power, Works and Housing and Adams Oshiomhole current national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) political party also an ex governor of Edo state.

These and many more are examples of leaders who after holding one position or the other for 8 or 4 years still have a way of remaining in political positions.

News on the failing health of veteran actor Baba Suwe hit the internet yesterday and one other veteran in the industry, Mr Latin has responded swiftly to the situation.

Mr Latin, the National President of the Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, in his reaction, denied rumors that the actor has been abandoned.

According to him, the medical bills of the actor is something the association has been taking care of since 2017.

He said:

“I have just instructed the Lagos State executive of the association to check on him (Baba Suwe) to ascertain his health progress.

“I can tell you that we have not abandoned him, as well as any of our members, as being speculated in some quarters by mischief-makers. ”

Stephanie Linus announces return of her reality TV show

Nollywood actress and producer Stephanie Okereke-Linus has announced the return of her reality TV show ‘Make Me Fabulous’ for the second season on Aug. 12.

The multi award winning producer of ‘Dry’ shared the news on return of the couple themed show on her Instagram page @stephanielinus on Wednesday.

Okereke-Linus who spoke further in a statement e-mailed to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said that Season 2 is set to be more exciting and would detail the journeys of 13 married couples.

She said, “When I saw how much of an impact Season 1 was, I knew we had to do this again. But we did it with a twist.

“Viewers would love the new direction the show has taken, but more importantly, we hope it touches their homes and marriages in a special way,” Okereke-Linus added.

Sharing a montage of the show and promotional posters, Okereke-Linus wrote, “Good news people! Make Me Fabulous is coming back to your screens with a revamped season 2!.

“It promises to be exciting and fabulous. Watch out…. August 12 by 6pm on DSTV. Thanks to our wonderful partners who made this season 2 special,” she said.

The unscripted, love-filled and one-of-its-kind Reality TV Show was created by Okereke-Linus in 2015 to rekindle the spark in marriages from newlyweds to old couples.

In the very successful run of Season 1, 13 couples were treated to a lavish and luxurious experience that ignited new meaning into their relationships.

‘Make Me Fabulous’ takes couples on a journey of transformation, giving them a chance to connect without distractions.
